Italian auto giant Piaggio has launched another model, the 'S', from its iconic scooter brand Vespa in India at a price of Rs 76,500 (ex-showroom Mumbai).

The Vespa S ideally shares its underpinnings with the two other models – the LX and VX – the company currently sells in the country, albeit a few styling changes in the form of a rectangular headlight and a redesigned front fender. The retro styling is carried forward with analogue speedometer and fuel gauge.

The bike is powered by the same 123cc triple-valve single cylinder engine, producing 10.06 bhp of max power and 1.08 Kgm of torque. The transmission too remains the same and is of the CVT type. Stopping duty is handled by a 200mm disc brake up front, while the rear wheel houses a drum.

The Vespa S has been priced at a premium to the other two models in the country, and will be available across all Vespa dealerships in India.
