Advik Group of companies, a leading manufacturer of auto components is on an expansion drive. As part of this growth strategy, it has announced the company’s foray into manufacturing of auto components for four wheelers by entering into a technical collaboration with Trochocentric GmbH and has also said will set up a new plant in Maharashtra at an investment of Rs. 35 crore. The company has also invested Rs. 15 crore for upgradation of facilities at its existing two wheeler plants, and to set up new plants.
It is to be mentioned that Advik Group of Companies manufacturers auto components like Lifter Tensioner Assemblies, Oil Pumps, Fuel Pumps, Fuel Feed Pumps, Fuel Cocks, Decompression Units, Water Pumps, Drum Gear Shifter, Starter Gear Reduction, Kick Shaft Assembly, Combi - Brake System, etc for Globally Renowned Automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers.
"Our facility for four-wheeler components will come up at Chakan (Maharashtra) with an investment of Rs 35 crore and it will have an annual installed capacity of five lakh units of oil pumps and tensioners," Advik Group of Companies Managing Director Aditya Bhartia told reporters. The auto parts maker is operational in the two-wheeler segment and now wants to focus on India’s booming car market.
The proposed plant at Chakan, to be operational by the end of 2010, will have an installed capacity to manufacture 0.5 million oil pumps in Phase I & 1 million oil pumps in Phase II. It will be state of art facility and fully equipped to manufacture oil pumps, water pumps and hydraulic tensioner for 4 wheeler-industry.
