Lohia Auto keen to foray into SAARC, US and European nationsLohia Auto, the electric vehicle manufacturing division of Lohia consortium, is gearing up to enter certain overseas markets like SAARC, Europe and even United States.

Reports Press Trust of India that Lohia Auto is already in talks with some European distributors for shipments, The company has also indicated to the aforesaid newswire agency that it’s R&D team is already is working to finetune its portfolio to make it compatible with the US market.

“We will start exporting our scooters by January or February next year to the neighbouring nations, mainly the SAARC countries,” Lohia Auto Industries chief executive officer Ayush Lohia told PTI with putting any specific numbers. He also indicated that the company is also mulling to export its products.

It may me recalled that Ayush Lohia, had earlier said, “Lohia Auto Industries looking forward for phenomenal progress in delivering great market success, our products is superlative in every aspect. They will definitely take the Indian two-wheeler market by storm. The fantastic characteristics coupled with the trendy style and colour makes the Lohia E - Bikes a pretty much lucrative offer.”

Due to a host of factors crimping the sales of motorcycles like spiralling crude oil prices, the sales of battery-run two-wheelers would witness galloping sales in India. According to auto experts, these eco-friendly bikes can run up to 70 km on a single charge, costing about Rs. 4 – Rs. 5 per kilometer. .
