The all New Honda City was also awarded the sedan of the year by Zigwheels in a separate category which had 4 other competitors. The jury for the Business Standard Motoring awards comprised of 6 members who voted for 7 models launched in the calendar year 2008.

The New Honda City was also named Car of the Year by Zigwheels which had 3 other competitors in this category. The new and completely re-designed Honda City was launched in India in September 2008.
