Bangalore to host International Auto Expo'09

The sprawling Bangalore Palace Ground will reverberate to the tune of 'Bangalore International Automotive Expo 2009' (BIAE 09), the largest international auto event in South India to showcase the best of Indian as well as international automobile industry, from January 9 to 11, 2009. Promoted by Winmedia Communications Private Ltd., the expo will present a dazzling product line-up that will reflect the latest trends and highlight the best of the automobile industry. The exhibition will reflect exciting changes in the Indian as well as international automobile industry. The mega event will be a window to South India's exuberant market and diversity by featuring 500 world-class brands, designs and technology in automotives, auto components and accessories to a cross section of visitors pegged at 100,000 plus. Concurrently, the expo will host special event-in-events, seminars and interactive forums on the current and future trends in the industry.

The list of Automobile manufacturers participating in the Expo includes Audi India, Mitsubishi Corporation, Mahindra & Mahindra, Nissan India, Reva Electric Car Company, Toyota Kirloskar Motors Ltd, Kinetic Engineering Ltd, Royal Enfield Motorcycles, TVS Motor Company, Yamaha Motors, Hindustan Motors, Hyundai with many more in the process of signing up. In addition, overseas giants like AC Tech-Germany, Stadco Ltd., UK are expected to participate. They will line up include a diversity of the best and never-seen-before cars, bikes and accessories.

The event will bring together a host of stakeholders of the Automobile Industry including manufacturers, maintenance and care professionals, interiors and finished products providers, accessories makers, ITeS/ CAD/ CAM designers, navigation system providers, component makers, oil and lubricant providers, entertainment systems makers and fitters, security and safety equipment manufacturers, tyres, tubes and wheel manufacturers, coach builders, custom designers, garage and workshop equipment makers as well as insurance and finance professionals.

The exhibition will also be a platform for all stakeholders to provide a touch and feel experience to visitors of their 'high quality' products. It will offer a unique platform to manufacturers for joint ventures, partnerships/ associations, sourcing, dealerships and networks. It will be an effective launch pad to test market new products, generate qualitative enquiries, enable companies to interact on a one to one basis with end users and above all provide a lasting impression among visitors as a premium event in the automobile segment.

The event has the whole-hearted support of the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), The Federation of Indian Automobile Associations (FIAA), Automobile Association of Southern India (AASI) and Western India Automobile Association (WIAA).

Bangalore is home to a vibrant auto industry with investments of over $ 600 Million and an annual turnover of US$ 500 million. Bangalore is the hub of most of the manufacturing units of the Indian automobile industry and also the official base for India's automobile research and development. Bangalore has emerged as one of the best places to do business in the world, joining the league of London, Shanghai and Singapore as per a list recently compiled study by CNN-Time Warner group. The study reveals that the rupee millionaire club in Bangalore is the most crowded in India and has the largest number of households with an annual income of Rs. 10 lakh or more.
